These cleaning hacks for cleaning bedroom are so effective, I’ve been wanting to share with you but didn’t get the time. Without further ado, let’s see what are these 7 cleaning hacks that will keep your bedroom neat and clean more than ever.
Don’t forget to make your bed every day
It seems like a hard task to do? Well, you will get used to it once you see how it can benefit your mental health.
Making the bed every day can be a tough job when you see it that way. But it has been proven that a simple habit of making the bed every day can make your life more organized.
Not only will it help you to be a more organized person, but also it will ease your mind. You will not want to see an unmade bed when you come home from work.
If you are having a bad day, you will probably want to come home and get a good night’s sleep. One thing I can assure you is that you will never feel like going to sleep if your bed is unmade.
Take one step at a time
If you are not used to making your bed every day, I have a suggestion for you. Start with little steps. At day one, fold the blanket only. The next day, you can try organizing the pillows as well.
Such practices will help you to make your bed every day. It is definitely one of the very first steps to keep your bedroom neat and clean.
Once you get used to it, you will never be able to keep your bed unmade.
Sort your wardrobe based on colors
It is hard to organize the closet; we all have been there. The first problem that I used to face is how to start sorting my wardrobe. It has always been a tough job for me.
It took me weeks to figure out how I can organize and sort my wardrobe. There are multiple ways to do it. You can try sorting your wardrobe based on type. That means, keep your t-shirts on one side and your dresses on the other side.
It still didn’t look that much sorted out. Finally, I came up with an idea. It made me fall in love with my closet.
I started to sort my closet based on colors. For example, take out all of your shirts. Then sort them based on red, orange, yellow, etc. You can follow the pattern of the rainbow. Also, you can go from dark to bright.
You might be thinking it will take you hours to do it. Well, once you organize your wardrobe based on colors, you will never lose track of your clothes.
Vacuum your bedroom weekly
If you can make a habit of vacuuming your bedroom weekly, nothing can stop you from keeping a bedroom clean.
For me, it is crucial as I have a toddler who loves to crawl around the carpet all the time. I make sure that my carpet is clean. If I get free time, I clean vacuum my bedroom twice a week.
Well, it also depends on what type of floor you have. If you don’t have a carpet, you can try doing it once every two weeks.
Clean that dirty mirror
Think about a bedroom all neat and clean but with a dirty mirror. Yes, I can also imagine it, and nothing can be worse than that.
If you have any mirror or glass furniture in your room, you will need to keep it clean. Cleaning mirrors once every other week should be good enough. Mark 2 or 3 days of every month to clean your mirrors.
Don’t use one bedsheet for more than one week
The ultimate trick to have a clean bedroom is to keep the bedsheets neat and clean. I’ve always emphasized this.
Although I am not into cleaning that much, I always change my bedsheets once every week. Especially, Sundays are my favorites to do this job.
After having breakfast, the first thing in the morning that I do is to change my bedsheet. Like most of the people, Sundays are my favorite, and I love seeing a clean bedsheet in my bedroom.
Store your shoes under the bed
I probably have more shoes than anyone that I know of. I’ve never been a shopping freak, but shoes are the one thing that I cannot compromise.
If you are just like me, you will need a place to store your shoes. My closet is definitely not enough to store all of my shoes. So, I use the space underneath my bed.
I got this idea from a friend who uses her underneath bed storage to store her handbags. I loved the idea and decided to store my shoes like that.
These are the 7 cleaning hacks that I have been following for almost one year. You don’t need to do these all at once. Take little steps at a time.
In my point of view, cleaning should be fun rather than a required task. I can promise you that you will love to keep your bedroom clean if you start with little steps.
It is okay to be messy sometimes. After all, we all have other responsibilities as well. I’ll be looking forward to sharing your thoughts on my cleaning hacks and let me know if you have succeeded or not.
