Using borax is one of the cheapest and most efficient methods of cleaning. I used to use borax only for laundry. I was surprised how borax can be useful in so many other ways.

I love using borax as it saves me a lot of time. It is quite obvious; cleaning takes time.

There were times when I used to keep half of my weekends only for cleaning my house. Well, that’s some serious commitment. You might feel the time is not worth the hassle. You can try my hacks to motivate yourself to clean more often.

1. Use borax to unclog the drain

Take a half cup of borax and pour it in your clogged drain. After pouring, use one tablespoon of lemon juice.

After 1 or 2 minutes, pour hot boiling water. After running tap water, you will see that your drain has become unclogged.

2. Deodorize and clean your clothes with borax

You can use up to half a cup of borax while you wash your clothes.

Borax will not only clean your clothes but also will deodorize them. You will hardly find any type of stain that borax will not be able to remove.

3. Say goodbye to those dirty carpets

Borax works pretty well in cleaning dirty carpets. To get rid of the dirt and stain from the dirty carpet, use half a cup of borax.

Borax is quite strong. As a result, do not use more than half a cup in one gallon of water.
